I am a teacher who loves football and I've found a way to make my passion for the game an educational activity for my Third Graders. They each choose an NFL team to follow through the season. The pennants of their choices are displayed across the front of our room. After each weekend game is played, we keep the winning team's pennants in the front of the room and move the losing pennants to the back of the room. We also graph our team's wins and keep track of points scored and given up throughout the season. In addition, write letters to the teams and find out facts about their cities and service projects the teams do for their communities. I would love it if you sold stickers of each team for the students' folders.
