THAT WAY WHEN USED AS A WALLET, IT WILL HELP THE CREDIT CARDS FROM SLIPPING OUT. ALSO WHEN USED AS BOTH CHECK BOOK AND WALLET, WHEN CREDIT CARDS ARE IN PLACE AND YOUR DOWN TO A FEW CHECKS, CAN'T WRITE CHECKS ON TOP OF THE CARDS. WORKS BETTER AS A WALLET OR CHECK BOOK,NOT BOTH.
