Comments about Warner Brothers Warner Brothers Pittsburgh Steelers Greatest Games DVD:

I was disappointed in the picture quality of the IX and X SBs. I got to believe there is a master somewhere that is quite good even though it was the mid 70's. If so, then shame on Warner Bros for selling us this. If not, then shame on the NFL and the networks.

Comments about Warner Brothers Warner Brothers Pittsburgh Steelers Greatest Games DVD:

Like the other 3 comments, I agree, there are other games (especially the emaculate reception) that should be a part of this package. I have always been a Cowboys fan and as much as it hurt to lose in '75 and '79, I don't understand why the Cowboys Greatest Games is a 10 game package (thank goodness it is), but the Steelers package is only 5 games?? I guess beggers shouldn't be chosers, and I've been begging for years for the NFL to come out with these full original broadcast.

Comments about Warner Brothers Warner Brothers Pittsburgh Steelers Greatest Games DVD:

OK I agree with most people who say that they should have put more games on here than just the Super Bowl wins. I would have included the "Immaculate Reception" game against Oakland, and the AFC Championship game against Indianapolis that sent the Steelers to Super Bowl XXX against Dallas. That being said, I can't complain about what is shown. I have the Steelers "Road to XL" set so I already had that Super Bowl, but it was fun to go back and see how different the game was as compared to today. Yes, the quality of Super Bowl IX isn't the greatest in the world, but hey that was over 25 years ago. This is definitely a must have for any diehard Steelers fan. 2 thumbs up from me. GO STEELERS!!!!

Comments about Warner Brothers Warner Brothers Pittsburgh Steelers Greatest Games DVD:

Glad the NFL is finally releasing some original Full Network broadcasts of great games from the past. NFL is the only Professional Sports League which holds these full original broadcasts from the public.
The Major Problem here is that the Steelers All Time Greatest game is The Immaculate Reception Game...and this original full broadcast is nowhere to be found. Also, great playoff games from the 70's are the first 2 Raider Championship games and 2 Oiler Championship Games.
Many of us only remember these games as children, and it is a shame for the NFL to not release these All Time NFL Great Games for fans to see again.

Comments about Warner Brothers Warner Brothers Pittsburgh Steelers Greatest Games DVD:

This set includes the network broadcasts of Super Bowls IX X, XIII, XIV and XL. The quality of the early games suffers quite a bit because of the quality of the media being transferred, but for the most part they include the entire game. Super Bowl IX announcers were Curt Gowdy and Don Meridith. What great memories of the Steel Curtain days. Definitely recommend buying this if you grew up during this era. Comments about Warner Brothers Warner Brothers Pittsburgh Steelers Greatest Games DVD:

NFL Films can release a better and more expanded DVD compilation than this merely 5 DVD set about the great Pittsburgh Steelers. Specially, for serious fans whom want to see the vaunted 'Steel Curtain' defense of the seventies. For example, they are missing these other great Steelers' games: 1972 AFC Championship Game; 1974 AFC Divisional Playoff Game; 1974 Championship Game; 1975 AFC Divisional Playoff Game; 1975 AFC Championship Game; 1976, season opener against the Oakland Raiders, 1976 three consecutive shut out games; 1976 Divisional Playoff Game; 1978 AFC Divisional Playoff Game; 1978 AFC Championship Game; 1979 AFC Divisional Playoff Game; 1979 AFC Championship Game, 1984 AFC Championship Game, 1989 AFC Championship Game, et. al. Nice try, but no immaculate collection.
